African Pride Wines was established in May 2002 as a specialized wine production and exporting division of Afrifresh Group. The Afrifresh Group was founded in 1997 and is today one of the leading South African exporters of fresh fruit. In 2008 Afrifresh Group concluded a Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) deal with Vuwa Investments (Pty) Ltd. The company head office is situated in Claremont, Cape Town.   Production and bottling takes place in HACCP, BRC and ISO accredited facilities and our international logistics partners are JF Hillebrand and Tradelanes.

African Pride Wines produces a range of uniquely branded varietal wines aimed specifically at the export market. Our aim is to be market orientated and to provide a unique combination of branding and wine styles at various price points. The core brands developed by African Pride Wines are Footprint, Cape Grace and Lady Anne Barnard. Grapes and wine for our brands are sourced from contracted growers and vinified, blended and bottled under the personal supervision of our Winemaker and Technical Director, Mike Graham. Other services provided by African Pride Wines include development and production of wines for our customers according to their specifications and requirements as well as sourcing and blending wine for the bulk export market. In addition to our own brands, African Pride Wines also handle the international marketing and distribution for a number of boutique wineries in selected markets. Our wine is available in more than 30 countries and covers the globe from Asia and the Gulf to Europe and America.
